Sometimes, you just need a little chocolate + peanut butter, am I right? But, lately I’ve been digging chocolate + almond butter as well. This quick, yummy shake is Paleo-friendly for all of my Paleo friends out there and a great little fix when those chocolate + nut butter cravings come calling. This recipe would make a great healthified dessert, post-workout shake or something to have with a fueled up breakfast.

A really ripe banana is key, otherwise it might turn out bitter, if so, just add two pitted medjool dates. Or, if you don’t dig bananas, just use two, pitted medjool dates or a touch of real maple instead.
No, we wouldn’t forage this back in the hunter/gatherer days, but yes, this does fit into a modern Paleo diet. 😉
It is really easy to make your own almond milk (and almond butter), but if you do get store-bought almond milk, watch your labels. Choose almond milk with no carrageenan in it.
