      Thank you.

I have been wanting one of the beauties for awhile now! As a girl in her mid-twenties, I’ve been trying to navigate the world of health(ier) eating and daily exercise. The transition from graduate school to the working world was a big shock to my system (no more 8am workouts!) – I think a Vitamix would be a great addition to my kitchen and my attempts to eat healthier on a daily basis!

      • Freshly Grown says:

I hear you! Wait til you have kiddos! If you go down that route one day. I heart working out, but it is definitely something you have to make a priority. It’s tough sometimes, I can’t imagine single moms or folks who go to work at 8 and come home at 6, when are you supposed to get your groove on, you know? Welcome and check back on here and FB, we have a great community 🙂 -Rama, (rayma)

    • Lisa Quenon says:

This year for Christmas, I’m giving my homemade applesauce. Usually creating this recipe involves many (many) steps including returning the batches over and over again to the blender and hoping I do not burn up yet another motor on an inexpensive blender. The recipe includes soaked almonds, Brazil nuts, apples and pears, spices, raisins, prunes…and a host of other things. (My friends ask me how I can still call it applesauce…yet the strongest flavor is of apples.) It is the perfect winter dish as best enjoyed warm each morning. So yes, I do believe that would be the inaugural launch of the Vitamix! My good friend who lives in San Antonio has a Vitamix. When I go to visit, I love creating with it!

    • Fran says:

Baby food first – my little munchkin is getting ready to start solids! For me: soup, soup and soup . . . and almond milk 🙂

    • PJ says:

First thing I would make is a boat load of soups (both cold and hot) and freeze them for the rest of soup season (AKA Fall/Winter)

    • Deya says:

Id love to win this! Ive been wanting one for so long! Id definitely make a shake with coconut water, frozen berries, half a banana, coconut yoghurt, and raw cacao!

      • Freshly Grown says:

Mmm…sounds delish!! Heart coconut & cacao!

    • Katie Truax says:

Ooooo! The first thing I will make when I win this wonderful Vitamix is a yummy green slushy for my 15 month old baby girl! I want to make sure she’s getting all the green leafy veggies she needs! 🙂

      • Freshly Grown says:

        Good mama, Katie!!

    • Shannon Watson says:

I’d make a raw pumpkin pie! I’ve tried to make it with a blender but it was far too chunky…and a vitamix would make all the difference. It’d help my family indulge in healthy ways.

    • mom9198@frontier.com says:

I would make healthy smoothies for my daughter who has a severe autoimmune disorder.

    • Jeff says:

Smoothies! I’d make them all the time

    • Ashlee says:

I would definitely make a smoothie to drink while I make some butternut squash soup 🙂

    • Sabrina says:

The first thing I would make would probably be humus. Then a bunch of smoothies.

    • Rhi says:

I would make green smoothies. Yummy!

  • Carol says:

The first thing I would make with my new Vitamix would be cashew cheese.

    • Freshly Grown says:

      Loove cashew cheese!!! -Rama

  • I’d make a smoothie to start

  • Rita G says:

    A smothy of ourse!

    • I would make a veggie filled Thanksgiving soup for our preschool feast with families and friends of our precious children!

  • Hilary says:

Your email only shows up in the box, because YOU are logged in… I’m pretty sure anyways. Lol. Because it’s not showing up on my end. It just says “email address”.
    Cool giveaway!

    Hilary x thehealthycollective.com

    • Hilary says:

And… I would make a big batch of pesto!

    • Freshly Grown says:

  • Shannon says:

Dreaming of potato leek soup… Mmmm!

  • I would probably make a smoothie.

  • Celeste says:

There are so many things I want to make that make blender just can’t do!
I would make a spinach smoothie

  • Rayna says:

I could use this to puree fresh soups and smoothies. I would first use this to try a vegan butternut squash sauce that’s tossed with pasta and greens.

    • Freshly Grown says:

What’s this Vegan Butternut Squash sauce you speak of? Yum!! -Rama

  • Kristal says:

I would make almond milk if I won this since I don’t have anything big enough to do that

  • Tracy says:

Oh, where to begin… I think the first thing I’d make is hummus. I just can’t get the consistency I want with my old food processor. Then it’s on to smoothies galore… then soup… then almond milk and almond meal… fingers crossed!

  • I will absolutly make some raw nutella and coco butter!

  • Ashley-Marie says:

Ok I know this may seem kind of boring BUT the first thing I would blend together on my Vitamix would be a kale smoothie! I love green smoothies but my current blender isn’t powerful enough to fully puree the kale — it always comes out grainy =( So making a green smoothie with Kale on a Vitamix is an absolute MUST. =)

    Thanks for this opportunity!

    • Freshly Grown says:

I hear you!! And not boring at all!

    • LaShaundra Samuel says:

Hi Ashley-Marie, hat’s exactly what I wanted to make! I have collards, kale, parsley, spinach, ginger root, flaxseed, wheat germ, and aloe; but with the blender I have it’s like cutting this stuff with a knife. I still end up chewing and the flaxseed is already too small to be made any smaller; apparently. So frustrating…

  • Anna Welch says:

Hmmmmm. What would I make first… Almost butter or almond four I think!

  • Ashley Lopez says:

The first thing I would make is sunbutter!

  • It’d be a tough toss-up between a fall-spiced (I’m talking nutmeg…cinnamon…cloves…ginger…) green smoothie (can’t wait to have a vitamix that truly blendssss the greens!) and chocolate chip cookie dough real food, paleo style with some coconut oil, dark cocoa, and so forth. HMMM…can’t wait just thinkin’ about it!

  • Brett says:

Undoubtedly, the first thing I would make would be a pineapple, spinach and banana smoothie. Nothing special but I LOOOVE them!

  • Nicole Springer says:

I think I’d make some hummus!

  • Amy says:

The first thing I would probably make would be a smoothie.

  • Kelly says:

    smoothies…then something awesome!

  • kelley ripley says:

i would make some immunity drinks. so glad i found this blog I have cancer and in need of some good recipes to help me fight this beast and heal my body

    • Freshly Grown says:

Oh, Kelley!! I’m sorry to hear! Hope you get to win this. For a ‘cancer diet’ as you probably know, go Vegan, juice, blend, toons of veggies and fruit, but organic bc you want to reduce your exposure to cancer-causing pesticides. I now eat grass-fed dairy and meat, but for cancer, look into going Vegan + you can do bone broth (see my post on it), it is incredibly nourishing and because it is in broth form it is easy on your digestive system. The reason you want to go Vegan is to give your body a rest from heavy digestion so you’re not using more energy than you need to, plus it includes soo many raw, veg and fruit foods. Keep in touch and find us over on Facebook, there is a lot of interaction over there. Be sure to comment and feel free to message me anytime. Best, Rama (rayma)

  • LeAnn Nome says:

I’m sure the FIRST thing I would make is a smoothie, just to test it out. 🙂 I would love to have one…heard soo many good things about them!

  • I would probably make smoothies first by request of the tiny people in the house. But then! I would be making nut butters and seed butters and coconut butter and not worry about overheating and breaking my little food processor. 😉

  • Joy W says:

  • Autumn says:

I’ve been wanting a Vitamix for ages. First I would probably make a spinach and berry smoothie with hemp seeds, but it’s soup season so I would probably follow it up with a spicy fennel and kabocha squash soup. Yum!!!

  • Yolanda Mckinnon says:

Wow! I think the first thing I’d make is a smoothie for my daughter. Then, I’d look up recipes and try to make every one!
