3 Green Juices for Kids

My little man loves just about anything I juice for him. Beets, kale, carrots, celery, lemon, parsley, ginger…he will drink it  (score). I started him out with simple juices and built from there. Here are 3 green, raw juices you can try out on your kids. If you’re hesitant to start with green juice Burst of Sunshine is a great starter for kids and you can omit the ginger if you want. Don’t forget to let them be a part of the juicing process, kids love to help, especially when they get to put fruits and veggies down the chute (cause who doesn’t love that part?).

Green Lemonade

3 handfuls of any greens (romaine, kale, spinach or a mix)

1/2 – 1 lemon

1 apple

Loch Ness Monster

4 Kale leaves

 1/2 head broccoli

 1/2 Cucumber

 1/4th Pineapple

Popeye

1/2 pear

1/2 apple

5 handfuls of spinach

1 celery stalk

Remember to wash your produce thoroughly. If any of the juices are too bitter for your kiddos as you are starting out, you can always add a bit more fruit. Watch the amount though, it is still sugar. For more juicing basics: Juicing 101.
