Oregon Green

I wanted to call this Oregon Ducks Green Juice, but then thought that was just wrong, so Oregon Green it is. My husband is a huge Oregon Duck fan. This juice would make him proud, regardless of my ill attempt to name it the first time around!

Oregon Green is an alkalizing juice that will leave you feeling vibrant and refreshed (after you get over the bitter taste, darn those leafy greens and their bitterness!). Dark greens provide vitamins and nutrients essential for detoxifying the body and promoting digestion, energy, glowing skin, weight loss/weight control, and immunity. So, Go Ducks! And go green…Oregon Green!!

Oregon Green

4 Kale leaves

1/2 bunch of parsley

2 handfuls of spinach

1/2  bunch of cilantro

2 celery stalks

1/2 a lemon, peeled

An apple to stomach the bitterness if necessary. If you can do without, do without!

Go organic, why juice pesticides! Wash all produce, peel lemon and send all produce through your juicing machine. Drink quickly and enjoy. Cheers from Oregon!

My Juicer (this baby has lasted me 3 years, still running, no problems):

    • I often use a bunch of kale, several stalks of celery, several carrots, a bit of ginger, a lemon, an apple and a cucumber as my basic green juice. Then in a blender I put in some of the green juice with a banana, some fruit juice (my husband has a sweet tooth and needs that to tone down the ginger and lemon), whey powder, ginko biloba and a mineral supplement.
I wish I could drink this several times a day for a super diet but am frankly too lazy… Now that the weather is warm, maybe I’ll do better.

  • Although you suggest doing without, I would definitely have to add a sweet apple to get it down! Thanks for the recipe 🙂

  • Erin says:

Is there something else I can use besides Cilantro? I really really can’t handle the smell or taste of it.

    • Hey, Erin! You can skip it altogether or use more parsley or even spinach. It’s a bitter one, but with a good amount of lemon and some apple, you should be good to go.
